About:
Fillaree is a dual citizen of Australia and the United States, first moving to Australia in 2014 with Nazarene Global Missions. She has a bachelor’s degree in Maternal and Child Health from Union Institute and University, a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University, a Graduate Diploma in Arts from NTC-Brisbane and is currently pursuing a PhD from the University of Notre Dame Australia with a thesis that combines her love for theology with her passion for gender studies and reproductive sciences.
As an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, Fillaree has pastored at the Place of Peace Church of the Nazarene in Inala, QLD as well as the Dianella Church of the Nazarene in Dianella, Western Australia. She is the mother of two amazing young adults whom she is very proud of. After home educating for 15 years, she is eager to begin supporting students here at NTC and hopes to one day be an NTC lecturer.
Fillaree has a love of learning that extends include new languages and cultures. She enjoys the outdoors and loves board games.

Why NTC?
NTC has been an important part of my journey since I moved to Australia in 2014. The campus feels like home and I relish in the comforting smell of eucalyptus that permeates the air here. The folks here- faculty, residents and students- are welcoming and supportive. With dreams of becoming a lecturer here after I finish my PhD, stepping into a role as registrar was a logical step and I consider the opportunity to be a true blessing!
